You can manage your domain
name from your domain control panel immediately after registration.
You have access to your domain control panel 24/7. Click to learn
more about your Account Login.
Can I pre-configure
settings for my domain?
Top
Yes, you can set up
Email Forwarding and Web Site Pointing
and even change or update to outside nameservers. Your settings will
not go live until 24-36 hours after your registration because your name
will need to be "propogated" across the Internet.
When will my domain
be live on the Internet?
Top
When a new domain is first
registered it can take 24-36 hours for the name to be fully updated or "propogated"
across the Internet. This is the case for any domain name registered
through any registrar because all the Internet Service providers update
their zone registry files every 12-36 hours.
Once it is propogated your domain will resolve in a web browser, your
email forwarding functions will be activated and your domain can be
retrieved on a whois database search (such as http://checkdomain.com ).
Please keep checking these functions after 24-36 hours of your domain
registration.
Why isn't
my domain listed in a whois database search?

When a new domain is first
registered it can take 24-36 hours for the name to be fully updated or "propogated"
across the Internet. Until your domain is updated it will not show
up in a whois database search. You can keep checking at a site such
as http://checkdomain.com .
When can I
change or update or outside nameservers?
Top
You can update or change the
nameserver settings immediately after your domain registration.
Please note that once your changes are saved, it may take 24- 48 hours for
your nameserver changes to be updated across the Internet. Keep
checking on web browser resolution and email function to test when your
nameservers have been fully updated in the Internet registry made
available to all Internet service providers.
How can I "transfer" or configure my domain for my hosting company?
Top
You have the option of changing or updating to outside nameservers 24/7.
You may want to use outside nameservers if you are using a traditional web
hosting company or if you have your own nameservers.
A web hosting company may say to you that you need to "transfer" you
domain to them. This is often confusing. What they mean to say is that you
need to transfer or update to their nameservers. This is not a domain
registration transfer, just a selection to use their nameservers.
Please note: once you update your domain control panel to use outside
nameservers other than our nameservers, we totally lose the control and
function of that domain (the registration of course still remains with
us). In other words, we cannot troubleshoot email problems and/or web
browser resolution problems. Also, you will not be able to use
features from our nameserver functions such as free email forwarding and
web site pointing.
Please go to our FAQ
section for Nameservers for complete
instruction regarding nameserver updates and changes.
